The Qwick Wick Can-Am Midgets presented by Miller Office Trailers were back in action this past Saturday night after a two weeks off. Round #3 was up next on the 2023 schedule. This time, back at Flamboro Speedway in Millgrove, Ontario for their second visit this season. The TQ midgets were the supporting division again for the travelling APC United Racing Late Model Series.

Heat race #1 presented by HMCW Chassis saw the race go green to checkered with the #11 car of David Miller taking the victory from the second starting position. Heat #2 saw some good side by side racing with the Flamboro dominate driver of Cory Whittam in the #55 car visiting HMCW Chassis victory lane.

There were only the TQ midgets, and the APC Series on the property making it a very quick turn around before the midgets were set to go 25 laps for their feature race. After the classic 4-wide salute to the fans, the race got underway with Paul Jorgensen (68) and Mike Westwood (91) on the front row. It was three wide behind them right away before caution flew for the #81 car of returning driver Cassidy March stopped in turn 1. Full initial start was set with Jorgensen and Westwood leading the field to green yet again. Whittam went three wide right away again marching his way up to third down the back stretch. Jorgensen held the lead for 5 laps before having a close wheel-to-wheel battle with Whittam for the lead. Whittam came out on top of that fight and pulling away out of sight. The battle was for the podium positions. Second to sixth were all under a blanket. The rest of the race went green to checkered with Whittam taking the checkered flag continuing his dominance at Flamboro Speedway. James Stanley (57) and Daniel Hawn (42) rounded out the podium finishes.

Jorgensen (68), Jr Farrelly (72), Andrew Whelan (5), Jeff Blackburn (7), Miller (11), Westwood (91), Tyler Sagan (20), Bob Bailey (15), Jody Bound (05), Sherry Hogan (74x), Ryan Fraser (18), March (81) rounded out the finishing order.

The Can-Am Midgets start their long stretch of races as of this race on June 10th. They return to the high banks of Sunset Speedway next Saturday, June 17th as part of their military night.
