The Can-Am Midgets presented by Miller Office Trailers rolled into Sauble Speedway in Hepworth, Ontario for their second and final double header weekend of the 2026 season. Saturdays show was in support of the APC United Late Model Series and a mixture of divisions on Sunday.
With rain in the forecast, Saturdays show was re arranged with a schedule change on the order of divisions, moving the support series after the APC main race. Both heat races were claimed by former series champions. Heat race 1 went to Cory Whittam in the #55 car, making his return to the series after running on the dirt track, Ohsweken Speedway. Heat race 2 went to the #05 car of Adam Racine who sits second in the points standings.
With the change of schedule, the drivers and crews had a fair amount of time to adjust their cars before the feature race with the APC race in between. But, as the late model race ended and as the legend car series were out on track, mother nature had other plans with the track officials having to cancel the rest of the night.
Sauble Speedway officials had to make an unfortunate call very early on Sunday morning to cancel night #2 of the double header weekend due to rain in the forecast.
The Can-Am Midgets are back in action this coming Saturday as they make their only visit to Grand Bend Speedway.
