The Can-Am Midgets presented by Miller Office Trailers were back in action this past Saturday at Flamboro Speedway in Millgrove, Ontario. Round #12 and the final race of the 2026 season was a long time coming with Mother Nature not cooperating for the past 2 months. The last time the TQ Midget drivers saw action (with our club) was August 1st out at Sauble Speedway with only heat races getting in.

James Stanley in the #57 car went into the final race with a pretty comfortable lead in the championship standings with a 127 point lead. Short of a DNF, he would secure the title pretty easily. A great field of 16 cars was on the property to close out the season, but that changed with the #05 car of Adam Racine crashing the practice. The team car of the #59 driven tonight by Adrian Stahle, let Racine run it with Racine being full time in 2026. Jeff Blackburn in the #7 car took heat race 1 while second place in the standings, Adam Racine, took heat race 2. David Miller, returning to the series a few races ago, took the Dash for Cash race presented by BW Towing of Orangeville in the #11.

Dominique Smith (49) and Sherri Hogan (74x), a couple of ladies, led the strong field of cars to the final green flag of 2026. Smith soared to the lead and pulling away. Contact between Blackburn and Hogan on lap 2 found Hogan hard into the turn 1 wall. Westwood Speed Shop teammate #91 car of Mike Westwood could not get slowed down enough, going over the right rear wheel of another car sending him into the outside wall as well. Smith on the restart with the returning Cory Whittam (55). Scary moment for Jaden Riddell (15), but he was able to gather the car up. Side by side for the lead, Whittam claims the spot off turn 2. Championship leader battles side by side with HMCW Chassis teammate of Daniel Hawn. Whittam continued to lead out front with Hawn closing the gap at the half way point. Top 3 under a blanket trying to navigate through lapped traffic. Hawn with a bold move onto the inside of Whittam with 3 laps to go, Whittam with the cross over move, but not enough traction with Hawn claiming the lead coming to 2 laps to go. Coming to the checkered flag, Tyler Cullen (43) spun out of turn 4, bringing out the caution. One lap shootout for the win, Hawn blasted out front claiming the final checkered flag of the 2026 season. Whittam and Blackburn rounded out the podium finishes.

Stanley, Racine, Riddell, Miler, Cullen, Richard Woodland (84), Larry Lawson (08), Smith, Alex Connell (96), Andrew Whelan (5), Hogan, and Westwood finished out the running order with Stahle with a DNS to let Racine run.

With a fourth place finish in the race, James Stanley and the #57 car secures his first series championship with the Can-Am Midgets presented by Miller Office Trailers. Congratulations to the #57 HMCW Chassis car, driver, and crew for a fantastic 2026 season!
