We have made our way down to the Qwick Wick Can-Am Midgets presented by Miller Office Trailers top 5 in the points standings for 2021. Finishing 5th this season was the #83 TQ midget of Brody Rickwood.

Brody purchased a new car in the off-season leading up to 2021. A previous Mackareth car. He got to work quick and got it ready for when we were allowed to start our season. Rickwood put up some fast times in practice, but had some issues first night out. Next night, he sat on the podium at Sauble Speedway. This was the start to a pretty good year with his new car. Brody claimed his first A-main feature event with the Can-Am Midgets in August at Flamboro Speedway holding off the likes of Darren Mclennan, Daniel Hawn and our champion, Jeff Blackburn on a late race restart. This was his only victory of 2021, but he was very close to multiple victories throughout the season.

“We had a great year overall in 2021. We started the year off with a new car and had a lot to learn right out of the gate, but I think we did very well,” Rickwood responded when asked about his 2021 season. “We had a lot of highs, but just as many lows throughout the year. I am very happy with the speed we showed, and really hope we can continue with that success.”

“For us, our 2022 goals are going to be focused on consistency. We hope to have all the gremlins worked out of the car and have a solid setup base to start the year off with. My goal for next year is finishing in the top 3 each week. Wins would be great of course, but consistency is what we need to improve on the most. A huge thanks to my supporters for giving me the opportunity to do this, and everyone involved with the club for organizing all of the great things this club does. As always, I cant thank my family enough for all of their time and effort each year. Cant wait for 2022!”
