We are getting to the halfway point of our top-10 in points for the Qwick Wick Can-Am Midgets 2021 season. Finishing 6th in the final points this year was the always loose #55 car of Cory Whittam.

Cory teamed up with Mike Hyrniuk this season to help his program. Sponsorship came along with it and a shared ride with Mike throughout the season. Hyrniuk only ran the second race of the season at Sauble Speedway in July, but promoted, and helped Cory throughout his season.

Whittam was fast out of the gate. He only had to brush the cob webs off the first practice of the year at Sauble. Cory had multiple heat wins the first part of 2021. With a little bit of a mediocre middle of the season, Whittam broke through to victory lane in August at the tight 1/4 mile Full Throttle Motor Speedway in Durham, Ontario. Cory would go on to win at Sauble and the finale at Flamboro Speedway capping a hat trick of 3 wins on the season.

Hopefully Cory keeps up the momentum heading into the 2022 season. And if he does, all drivers beware and look out for the #55 TQ midget to be a championship contender.
