The Qwick Wick Can-Am Midgets presented by Miller Office Trailers had a much needed break the past three weeks after a very long stretch of races. The TQ midgets roll into Grand Bend Speedway and Festival Centre this Saturday, July 27th. This will be the one and only visit to the bullring for the quick open wheel cars. A decent car count is expected with a great night of racing and many drivers love racing at the track with all of the great things that Gord has done with Grand Bend the past few years.

Pit gates are open all day Friday for teams to park their trailers along with campers if members are looking to spend the night. Gord has opened the track for practice on Friday night starting at 7 p.m. if teams would like a shake down of their car(s). Pit gates are set to open at 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon with rotating practice starting at 3 p.m. Racing will begin at 5:30 p.m. sharp.

Jeff Blackburn in the #7 car won the last time out before the break at Sunset Speedway closing the gap to current point leader, Daniel Hawn (42) to just 18 points. To add, there are just 40 points that separate the top 4 in the 2024 standings, making the focus on this tight track a top priority to stay in contention for the championship.

Come on out to Grand Bend and enjoy the beach during the day, and come watch some amazing, close racing on Saturday night!
