It is with great sadness, that the Can-Am Midgets announce the passing of Albert Banyard. Albert passed away peacefully with his family by his side after a short sickness.

Banyard was one of the founders of this great, amazing racing club 60 years ago in 1964. Albert raced himself in the famous #8 car. Racing all across Ontario and northern states, the club quickly gained popularity. The club expanded further into the states and across Canada at times.

Albert had a great handshake that was well known along with his smile. He would stop by your pit no matter how busy he was. Albert was able to turn your crappy night of racing into a great night with all of his racing stories.

Go to our history tab on our home page to see all of the history of the Can-Am racing club along with Allbert’s history.

Everyone here at the Can-Am TQ Midget club send prayers out to the whole Banyard family in this trying time. We will miss you Albert and God Speed!
